- 2 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 (8-oz) pkg. cream cheese-softened
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 heaping tsp. baking powder
- dash of salt
- Cream Cheese Icing:
- 1 (8-oz) pkg. cream cheese-softened
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. Cool Whip

- Mix
butter with cream cheese really good. Add sugar and eggs one at a time,
beaten well after each addition. Add to mixture. Pour batter into 3
greased round 8-9 inch cake pans. Bake at 325 degrees F.for 35 minutes.
Cream Cheese Icing: Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and Cool Whip
together. Stir in chopped pecans. Frost tops and sides of 3 layer cake.
